In 2014, Sri Lanka got their sweet revenge! They defeated finalists India for the second time to win their first t20 World Cup on home soil. The tournament saw another stellar performance from India’s batting maestro Virat Kohli, who won the player of the series award for his consistent run-scoring performance.

The Windies proved to be a reckoned in 2016. They repeated their success and beat England in the final to become the first team to win the Twenty20 World Cup twice, Virat Kohli again shone brightly, player of the series award, despite India ever being out for the last time He took it home.

Another winner came from the 2021 edition in the UAE. Led by the brilliant Aron finch, Australia finally won their first T20 World Cup title. They won the final against New Zealand, with Mitchell Marsh’s all-round performance earning him the man of the match award.
